I joined The Co-operators family in 2002 as a licensed Auto representative in Nanton, Alberta. As a single mom, I was attracted to the hours and group benefits that working in a professional office environment offered. At the time, I had no idea how fulfilling and exciting this career would be. In 2005, after obtaining my life insurance license and developing some experience with all the products that we offer, I became an Agency Owner, and Financial Advisor of the Stony Plain Co-operators office as of Feb 1, 2006.

As a business owner, I especially like to help my employees grow and develop into the extremely knowledgeable people they are. Many who are on our team now originally had no insurance background when they came on board, like me. But, with training and mentorship, they are all flourishing. I am very proud of being a part of the development of three other Financial Advisors for The Co-operators in the past 10 years as well, all of whom are very successful and still working in their respective agencies.

Our office culture is truly one of accountability, knowledge, growth and professionalism. We work hard each day to provide the exceptional service that our clients need and deserve to have. It's our goal to inform our clients about risk management and break down the barriers and misconceptions about insurance in general, without compromising on the coverage that each individual family needs.

In 2016, we moved to our new location and have finally found a home of our own that reflects our personality and values, with its funky barrel lights, sustainable processes and paperless procedures to reduce our carbon imprint, and having my two Great Danes, Hudson and Penelope, visit the office in the mornings. Feel free to drop by the office and feel the difference!

I started working in the insurance industry in 2012. That year, I received my Level 1 and Level 2 General Insurance License and started working for Northstar Insurance Group Inc. At first, I took training in Auto insurance and later also was trained in Home insurance. I am happy to work with our team as we work towards the needs of all our clients.

My husband and I have been married for 35 years and are very proud of our two sons and their wives. When our family was young, we had many vacations at Disneyworld in Florida, which has left many fond memories. Lately, we have enjoyed going on a few cruises and especially like the Caribbean Islands. The warm, turquoise water is very beautiful.
