If you own, rent or lease your business space, this coverage protects your property and contents. For owners, we cover the structure and any permanent fixtures. For tenants, we cover any improvements you’ve made. Our coverage also protects your assets if you operate your business from a mobile location.*
Types of coverage
TomorrowStrongTM
This endorsement provides extra protection to help prevent damage from recurring after a claim. We offer TomorrowStrongTM for commercial rented dwellings and stratas (1 to 6 units).
Replacement Cost Endorsement
This coverage changes the basis of settlement to cover the cost of repairing or replacing the insured buildings and contents, without deduction for depreciation.
Bylaw Endorsement
This endorsement adds coverage for additional costs incurred if you have to repair or rebuild your damaged property to comply with any by-laws or zoning laws, if the cause of damage is covered by your policy.
Consequential Loss Endorsement (including Off Premises Service Interruption)
This endorsement provides coverage for stock spoilage caused by temperature or humidity changes. It also includes coverage for loss or damage caused by an off-premise power interruption.
Earthquake Shock Endorsement
This coverage protects against losses from earthquakes.
Flood and Sewer Backup Endorsement
This coverage provides protection against water damage from floods and sewer backups, including overflow from natural or man-made bodies of water, waves, tides and rain. Coverage include damage from sewer, sump and drain backups. It excludes continuous leaks or seepage.
Sign Floater Form
This provides actual cash value coverage for your exterior signs, street clocks, communication towers, antennae and satellite receivers.
Miscellaneous Property Floater Broad Form
This provides actual cash value coverage for mobile items not covered under your policy. They're protected on- and off-premises anywhere in Canada and the United States. A locked-vehicle warranty is included for added security.
Cargo Floater Broad Form
This provides coverage if you are paid to transport property that belongs to other people, or to transport your own goods in vehicles that you own and operate.
Contractor's Equipment Floater Broad Form
This provides broad coverage for your equipment as a contractor. It also covers any equipment owned by others for which you’re legally responsible.
Downhole Tool Coverage Endorsement
This provides modification to the Contractor’s Equipment Floater Broad Form to provide coverage for equipment that is lost or damaged while it’s downhole in any well.
Fishing Expenses Endorsement
This provides modification to the Contractor's Equipment Floater Broad Form to provide coverage for third-party expenses to recover insured property that is lost or damaged downhole in any well.
Downhole Property Damage Endorsement
This provides coverage for property owned by others that you accidentally damage while downhole in any well.
Tool Floater Broad Form
This provides coverage for all the essential tools and equipment your business relies on, such as saws, drills, ladders and hammers that are used for both on- and off-premises. This coverage applies anywhere in Canada and the United States. It includes a locked-vehicle warranty for added protection.
Deliberate Well Firing and Waiver of Subrogation Endorsement
This provides coverage for contractor equipment that is damaged during a deliberate well-firing by the well owner, operator, contractor or government authority to protect personnel and the environment.
