Colette is responsible for all business and executional operations at Sovereign Insurance – a purpose-built insurance provider that helps build resilient Canadian businesses and strengthen the communities they serve. Driving the company’s growth, she works closely with the Co-operators senior-management team to deliver on its strategic plan.
Colette’s focus on innovation, efficiency and informed underwriting has helped to streamline operations, foster a collaborative and seamless experience for brokers and partners, and support overall profitability.
Colette has worked in the P&C insurance industry for more than 20 years in a variety of roles. She found her passion when she entered the world of team leadership. Prior to joining Sovereign, she gained extensive experience in the mid-market commercial and specialty space as an executive and senior leader. She has led front-line commercial underwriting teams, managed strategic broker relationships, and spent time as a broker working directly with commercial end-clients.
In addition to her business accomplishments, Colette is an advocate for equal representation and advancement across the industry. She is a passionate supporter of Sovereign’s Community Impact strategy, which champions diversity, equity and inclusion within the P&C insurance space.
