North Regina Little League
Let's play ball! We are proud to be a part of the growing baseball community here in Regina. Did you know that the North Regina Little League team won nationals and represented Team Canada at the Little League World Series held annually in Williamsport, PA? With an accomplishment like that, it's no wonder that a growing numbers of kids are signing up to play ball. We are happy to see them thrive in this sport.
Access Communications community rink
Did you know there is a great community skating rink right at Access Communications on Park Street here in Regina? They offer free helmet and skate rentals and even have a warming shack. Bassendowski Insurance is happy to help provide a place where more people can learn to skate and take part in this great winter activity.
Artifact/Artifiction 2023 at The Royal Saskatchewan Museum
As the presenting sponsor of the 2023 Artifact/Artifiction event at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum, we helped raise over $20,000 for the Royal Saskatchewan Museum Graduate Scholarship Fund, which supports scientific research in Saskatchewan. Kevin Bassendowski also sponsored the Make an Impact Station and matched the donations of those who gave. Another great Regina event!
4-H Saskatchewan and food insecurity
Bassendowski Insurance & Financial Services supports youth initiatives like 4-H Saskatchewan and farm families across the province. We were able to purchase several cows that were raised as part of the 4-H club and then distributed as meat to various organizations in the city of Regina to address food insecurity.
Buckets & Borders
Buckets & Borders was established in 2015 as an initiative to document basketball culture around the world. Today, they are a team that uses basketball as a means to improve communities and bring people together. Bassendowski Insurance & Financial Services has been a founding partner of the Lakeview Project, which saw a full revitalization of the Regina basketball landmark dubbed "The Cage." We were also a part of their Ball for All initiative, which distributes basketballs to various communities across the province of Saskatchewan.
The Royal Saskatchewan Museum
Kevin Bassendowski has been a member of the Friends of the Royal Saskatchewan Museum board for four years and currently holds the position of Chair of Fundraising. Bassendowski Insurance & Financial Services has been a major sponsor of the RSM gallery "Home: Life in the Anthropocene," a contributor to the RSM scholarship fund, and the presenting partner at the gala held for the opening of the new exhibit.
